Ferenc Tanács joined Magyar Telekom PKI (Network & service development institute) in 1999 as an IP network developer. Ferenc was responsible for the development and design of Magyar Telekom’s IP Core & Edge network.
He participated in and led several successful development projects, such as the first GigabitEthernet Metro network in the early 2000s, the first IPTVoCaTV service introduction and several MT IP network modernization and new service introduction projects. Besides his expert activites, he has been also team leader.
Currently, Ferenc is responsible for Magyar Telekom’s peering network, including peering (PNI, PP), tranzit connections and CDN deployment as Product Owner of the Peering Network Squad.
Ferenc holds an M.Sc. Engineer in Electrical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
